This seems to be a fundamental problem with these third-party batteries, as the replacement battery from the other online shop exhibited the same behaviour.
Detailed explanation:
After installing the battery and switching on the hoover (Philips FC6726/01), 2/5 LEDs of the charge level indicator initially lit up.
After switching it off and on again, 5/5 LEDs now lit up.
Vacuuming was initially possible without any problems.
However, the charge level indicator did not decrease, but suddenly changed to 1/5 (red) and the hoover switched off.
When connected to the charging cable, 5/5 LEDs lit up immediately. An attempt to vacuum again a few hours later failed.
A voltage measurement revealed:
Original battery: 21.6V (empty), 25.2V (full)
Replacement battery: 20.4V (empty)
Assumption:
The charging electronics expect a voltage of at least approx. 21.6V, but measure 20.4V.
As a result, the charging process is not even started as the charging electronics "suspect" a defective battery.
