The right battery for your laptop, in place and charging and discharging, seems to be a good product. You could add a little help for the installer on the product page, on my own machine that internal battery had been removed at some point and the connector position was not a model. Digging around on the net I found a picture that showed that the connector comes in the position where the red wire is on the battery side. As another tip, the connector is really tight and should be pressed really hard to the bottom. On a personal note, a twice opened Lenovo. If the connector is not pressed down to the bottom, there is no contact, you will notice if the machine cannot find the battery after startup. In any case, you should start the operation by looking up the T470 HWMM (hardware maintenance manual) on Lenovo's site, it will help with many other problems.

Battery not recognised on my T480. Return postage costs are at the customer's expense (€10 for me). Postage costs are refunded. Quite disappointed. I had already bought from subtel and had been very happy.
